The English Department at Auburn offers undergraduate concentrations in 5 areas: linguistics/rhetoric; literature; technical & professional writing; creative writing; individually designed concentration. The concentration consists of 20 hours (4 courses on a quarter system). Introduction to Linguistics and Interpreting Texts are taken, in addition, by all majors (for another 10 hours).
