Nebbie/nibbie



These are both Scots words from neb, which is the Scots word for "nose".

The Concise Scots dictionary gives "nib" etc. as a variant, with the some

meaning for "nebbie" as in American English i.e. nosey, inquisitive.



Redd is also a very common Scots word, with redd the table or redd up being

the most familiar usages to me in Scots.
