Subject: Re: Query about Language Concentrations in English Depts.

The English Department at Auburn offers undergraduate concentrations in 5

areas: linguistics/rhetoric; literature; technical & professional

writing; creative writing; individually designed concentration. The

concentration consists of 20 hours (4 courses on a quarter system).

Introduction to Linguistics and Interpreting Texts are taken, in

addition, by all majors (for another 10 hours). The rest of the major

includes 20 hours of electives, for a total of 50 hours.

Wegbereiters, but it seems like a question people will ask. If there are

such programs elsewhere, what kinds of requirements do they have for their

concentrations, do you know?"

Can you help us?
