Larry,



I worked in a Chicago, public inner city high school for 10+ years, and

the AAVE speakers started to use my bad around the mid 80's. My bad

meaning my fault and not on the basketball court, but in the classroom.



I also remember the students then starting to say My bus(t) meaning my

fault or my embarrassment maybe even coming from "to bus someone out"

to show them up.
