Subject: Re: Wednesday with a [d]

David,

Yes, around Louisville in the 40's and 50's we always pronouned the "d." We

said /wInzdi/. I never heard anybody say /wInzi/.

Yuk-yuk-yuk. Well, you have to be in a good mood when the snow flies in

Michigan.

Does anyone know if the "d" in "Wednesday" is routinely pronounced

anywhere in the English speaking world?

Thanks,
