In the Louisville area in the 1950's (well, perhaps a little earlier), I remember Annie Annie over (same rules as cited before); definitely not 'Anty.' A 'pig-tail' in the same area was a position in unofficial softball/baseball games. A younger (or less-skilled) player was positioned behind the catcher to retrieve any balls that got past him.
