(I'm NY-born, Jamaica-raised, N. Georgia high-school and college.) I wasn't aware that this was a contradiction-- though I never thought about it. Is it? How Oh-ften has anyone actually heard the word "offal" sopken in everyday speech? (Me, never-- mine is a reading pronunciation.) --plp
