Subject: A new term?

On another list, someone posted the ff.:

We had our own three cats when my daughter landed us with the three

brother cats she had found as kittens in the Minnesota woods. You can

believe our three were pretty horked off, ...

The term "horked off" is new to me. Anyone else know it? (I don't have

DARE here.)
