I grew up in Atlanta (b. 1941), and we all said Co-cola. I no longer live

in the South, no longer say Co-cola, but it is very much my native dialect.

Sorry this is late with regards to this topic, but I'm catching up with my

mail after the end of the semester rush.

How many southerners out there use the term "Co-cola" in re to Coke. Not

Coca-cola, but Co-cola. I find a lot of my older friends and relatives,

folks who grew up in the 30s and 40s use this term. Is it just an NC thing.

Curious.
