Subject: Re: autumn

Hmm. If the speakers of UK English don't have fall for autumn, then how do

they know which way to adjust their clocks for summertime, our daylight savings

time?

Over here we say "Spring forward, Fall backwards." We'd never say "Autumn

backwards."

Easy. They say, "I autumn make my clock run an hour slower."

Sorry, gang.
