<br>I am pleased to announce that ADS will sponsor a session on "Southern
<br>Mountain Speech" at the 1998 annual meeting of the National Council of
<br>Teachers of English, in Nashville, on Friday, November 20, 9:30-10:45 a.m.
<br>We are Session A.34.
<br>
<br>We have room for either a third speaker or a discussant (who will respond
<br>to two papers, thus have a substantive role on the program).
<br>
<br>If you are interested in either presenting a paper or serving as
