In some other constructions it is variable, e.g.,

"I will help you find the answer" and "I will help you to find thel answer"

"I will have him call you" and "I will have him to call you" (Causative)
He had his dog die" and "He had his dog to die" (Existential)

However, most folks outside the US South have obligatory TO-deletion with
HAVE, at least when HAVE is used in the causative sense.
